Year 2020, the Covid-19 Emergency reaches its top at Easter in the whole world, causing a massive and generalized lockdown.
Making music to survive and keep communicating, but without meeting your fellow artists you usually work with….it’s a challenge.
Fe Avouglan and I managed to realize this tune I composed without meeting in person…I just did the base and wrote the text letting Fe decide how to develop the melody of the chanting. And she did it very well…
Please sit back and relax to the sound of Easter On Our Own

STATE OF THE ART
Fé Avouglan & Roger Rama
Si tratta di un esperimento di fusione fra diverse sensibilità musicali. Borderline fra le sonorità elettroniche e il songwriting, anche se spesso la metrica dei testi evoca più la declamazione poetica, una sorta di poetry slam dove non viene rispettato il formato: strofa, ritornello.
Un contesto elettronico inusuale in quanto intriso di sonorità che si ispirano alla musica da camera e arrangiamenti sinfonici minimali nell’ambito dei quali Fé Avouglan, brillante soprano californiano formatasi a Parigi, si muove a suo agio con tutta la competenza esecutiva della sua esperienza di cantante lirica, in un contesto più confidenziale; quasi sussurrando le semplici melodie del progetto.
Delicati poemi cantati, canzoni recitate…. Decidete voi..

Un tour del cuore della Rabatana, centro storico saraceno che é stato il primo nucleo abitativo del Comune di Tursi, Provincia di Matera, Basilicata. Isolato sulla sommità di un calanco e circondato da burroni, é un luogo magico per perdersi .... ..attenzione al solleone d'agosto.. buona passeggiata..
Un ringraziamento particolare va ad una anziana signora che ci ha confortato con acqua fresca e fichi d'india sbucciati e freschi, una vera delizia e un commuovente esempio di ospitalità disinteressata. L'angelo della Rabatana, chapeau.

Just another bit of Argentina.. Los Andes in the Mendoza area, bordering Chile. It is the area where the Mount Aconcagua stands tallest among the others, being the highest mountain of South America. The skyline is beautiful and there are absolutely breathtaking views of the Cordillera.
..This time I preferred not to walk.. ;)

Filmed while hiking in the woods near Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Patagonia, Argentina during my last trip down there.
The soundtrack instead was conceived during a stay at my home upon the mountains nears Biella, Piedmont, Italy.
In other words, in the middle of the woods again. Maybe that's why of the coutry taste of the whole thing.

I like to travel a lot around the world for the pleasure of discovering new perspectives about the way life can be taken; it opens my mind and makes me more tolerant..
But, since I am an ego maniac, i like to imagine people moving at the pace of my music; as it was their natural soundtrack…
like to say, the world is a stage
since I’m almost on the move again, it is time to publish this excerpt of my latest trip to Asia, in which I’d the chance to film a traditional dance set of a cingalese farmer's festival at a theatre in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka

Quest'anno ho passato parte dell'estate a scorrazzare per i balcani. Lì l'Europa ha ancora un gusto un poco vintage, a mio parere; piacevolmente fané...con qualche eccesso urbanistico di regime ormai decaduto... Atmosfere metropolitane metafisiche. Della serie luoghi surreali...ci vedo un omaggio a de Chirico... buona visione

A Trento nel 2013 é sorto un quartiere nel sito della ex fabbrica Michelin in zona Le Albere; ad opera dell'archistar Renzo Piano, una operazione di riqualificazione urbana per l'edilizia abitativa enorme, compresa fra il Muse da una parte, l'avveniristico museo delle scienze in acciaio e cristallo, e il centro congressi polifunzionale che ospita la biblioteca universitaria Ateneo.
un quartiere modello che rispetta nella sua progettualità e costruzione i più elevati standard energetici e abitativi, un esempio di urbanistica che rivela una visione del futuro.
Tutto perfetto...
MANCANO SOLO GLI ABITANTI
in quel quartiere non vive praticamente nessuno e la desolazione regna nel corso delle 24 ore. il video é una passeggiata diurna e notturna che lo conferma.
